An asymmetric multiplayer horror game
Dark Home is an asymmetric multiplayer game in which players take on different roles within the game. One player will take on the role of a ghost whose job it is to eradicate the other players, while the rest of the players must attempt to survive. In this sense, the game is both player versus player (PvP) and cooperative, depending on which role a given player is filling.
For similar games to Dark Home, one could look to Friday the 13th: The Game and even the incredibly popular Among Us. It should be noted that, while players can play Dark Home in a single-player fashion without friends, there is no single-player mode.
A first-person horror experience
All players play Dark Home from a first-person perspective, whether they play as a regular human character or the ghost that pursues them. The goal of the ghost is to eradicate the player's character, while the player must search the house and ignite the dream catchers hidden throughout to weaken the ghost and facilitate their escape.
Asymmetric multiplayer combat
The multiplayer aspect of the game means that the player who is controlling the ghost is more powerful than the players. This makes the game more about stealth for players, while the ghost must attempt to catch all of them before they can carry out their tasks.
A limited game with an interesting concept
The idea behind the multiplayer concept of Dark Home is an interesting one that has proved successful in other games. However, this one seems to fall short because of not having enough content and the lighting being too dark to see. Since this game isn't free, players should do their research before purchasing it.
